Easkey Sea Blues GAA Club

CLUB NOTES - 5th November 2016

The u21 Easkey/Enniscrone-Kilglass team recorded a second win, with a narrow defeat of Calry/St.Josephs on Sunday 1-10 to 1-9
Next fixture Sunday 6th away to Tubbercurry/Cloonacool at 1pm

U16 hurling
Hard luck to our u16 hurlers on their defeat at the hands of Padraig Pearses, in the Connacht Club semi-final in Ballyhaunis.
Following on from their preliminary and quarterfinal wins over Leitrim and Mayo, our lads had to battle hard with injuries and a small panel. Luck wasn't on their side, and they bowed out of the competition to a team who were just that bit stronger on the day. Good luck to Padraig Pearses in the final.
Many of these Easkey/St.Farnans lads were on the team that won the title in 2015, and indeed two of them even played back in 2013, when Easkey/St.Farnans first won the Connacht title. It is however a relatively young team, and they will be back!
Well done to players and management on a very good year.
