Senior Football

Our Intermediate footballers had a good win over our neighbours Castleconnor in the 2nd round of the Intermediate Championship on Saturday last in Quigabar. Easkey got off to the better start and had built up a 2 point lead before Castleconnor struck for a goal midway through the 1st half. Castleconnor added 2 further points, either side of fine Joe McHugh point to lead by 2 points with 20mins played. Easkey however were to take control for the final 10mins of the half, with Eugene Mullen scoring a fine goal, followed by 2 points from Joe McHugh. Castleconnor did reply with the final point of the half to leave the score line at the break 1-07 to 1-04 to Easkey. The 2nd half saw Easkey assert their dominance on the game, opening up a 7 point lead before Easkey won a penalty after substitute Kevin Duffy was fouled, which saw Joe McHugh successfully convert, leaving the final score Easkey 2-16 to Castleconnor 1-09.

Our Footballers are out again this coming Sunday 9th of August in the 3rd round of the Championship against St Michael’s in Ransboro Park, Coolera at 2p

Minor Football

Easkey/St Farnans Minor footballers were defeated by Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on Wednesday last in the 3rd round of the Minor Championship.
Their next outing is this Wednesday in the final round of the Championship against Coolera/Strandhill in Coolera at 6.30pm

U16 Football
Easkey/St Farnans U16 footballers continued their winning ways in the U16 Championship with a win over Calry/St Joseph’s on Friday. After conceding an early goal, the lads responded well and went in at half time leading by a point. A slow start to the 2nd half, saw our lads relinquish their lead and fall behind however a strong final quarter, saw Easkey/St Farnan’s run out 4 point winners on a score line of 0-18 to 1-11. Their next game is this Friday at 6.30pm against Ballymote/Bunninadden in Easkey

U12 Football
Both of our Easkey/St Farnans u12 football teams are out this Tuesday at 6.30pm against Tubbercurry in Tubbercurry​

Underage Hurling
Our minor team had a terrific win against Benbulben Gaels on Monday last in Easkey by 3-18 to 5-7. The team was Stephen Conway, Matthew Mortimer, Adam Kilrehill, Harry O'Donnell, Shane Molloy, Fionn Moylan (1-8), Thomas Cawley (0-6(4f), Kenneth Mitchell, Fionn Connolly (2-4), Ryan Gillespie, Eoin Gordon, Sean Og Connolly, Kyle Tiernan, James Harte.

Our u12 team played Naomh Eoin on Tuesday and were defeated by 0-9 to 0-6.

On Thursday next we play Western Gaels in the u14 championship in Easkey at 6 30 pm.
