CLUB NOTES - 4th September 2018

Senior Hurling
Easkey recorded a great win on Saturday evening in the eagerly anticipated championship fixture against Western Gaels. The game finished Easkey 4-17 Western Gaels 3-11. In ideal hurling conditions, it was a great display of hurling by both teams and was quite evenly matched on the scoreboard the whole way until last 10mins when Easkey finally pulled clear. A big crowd was present to watch the game and we look forward to many more battles with our neighbours in the future. Andrew Kilcullen, Rory McHugh and Bernard Feeney were the standout performers for the Sea Blues. Easkey now move on to Calry/St Josephs in the final round of group stage on the weekend of the 15/16th September.

Our junior team had a comfortable 3-20 to 1-10 victory over Calry-St Josephs in the Junior B championship last Friday night. Ryan Carr, Emmett Brennan and Dessie Sloyan were impressive for our lads. The next fixture for our junior Bs is a Quarter final vs Coolera/Strandhill the weekend of the 15/16th September.
