After trailing early, we responded with 4 quick points to move onto a 0-4 to 0-2 lead, but conceded a goal soon after. U16 Football
Easkey/St Farnan’s U16s footballers suffered their first defeat to a strong Ballymote/Bunninadden team on Friday evening in Easkey. Playing against a strong breeze in the first half, Easkey/St Farnan’s started slowly going in at half time with a deficit of 2-13 to 0-4. A strong 2nd half say Easkey/St Farnans storm back into the game but unfortunately just found the 1st half deficit too much to overcome, losing out on a final scoreline of 2-11 to 2-16. Despite the loss they are very much in the mix with 2 rounds remaining in the group stage. Their next game is an away fixture against St John’s this Friday at 6.30pm in Stenson Park

U14 Football
Easkey/St Farnans u14 football team begin their championship this week with an away fixture against St Patrick’s in Skreen on Thursday evening at 6.30pm

Senior Hurling
On Saturday our senior team play Naomh Eoin in their opening round of the senior hurling championship. This game is in Kent Park at 7pm.

Underage Hurling
Our u8 and u10 hurling teams enjoyed a great night's hurling on Friday last in Scarden playing a number of games. Martin Fogarty from Kilkenny was the guest at the event and had great words of encouragement for the players. Well done to Darragh Cox for organising the blitz. Great to have games for this age group.

Our u14 team were defeated by a very strong Western Gaels team on Thursday last in Easkey. On Tuesday our u12 team play Coolera/ Strandhill.
