CLUB NOTES - 26th September 2018
Our senior team had a comfortable 4-17 to 0-3 point win over St Molaise Gaels last Friday night under lights down in Scarden in the Junior A Championship semi- final. Starting team was: Shane Kilgannon; Ian Barrett, Bernard Feeney, Hayden Gilroy; John Feeney, Jonathan Conway, Rory McHugh; Eugene Mullen, Mikey Gordon; James Lindsay, Emmet Healy, Dylan Sloyan; Andrew Kilcullen, Ryan McKenna, Kevin Duffy. Subs used Eanna Moylan, Kieran Duffy, Joe McHugh, Ciaran Montague, Emmett Brennan, Padraig Cawley. The final is down for Sunday 7th October in Cloonacool against Owenmore Gaels, time TBC.
Our Senior Hurlers play Calry /St Josephs this Saturday the 29th September @ 4.30 pm down in Hazelwood in final group game in the Championship. Good luck to the lads.
The Easkey/ St Farnans minors play Tourlestrane in round 5 of the championship this Friday night the 28th September at 6.15 out in Tourlestrane. Best of luck to all involved.
U12 Hurling Tournament
Well done to all involved in last Saturdays u12 hurling tournament in the pitch. Thank you to the Brady Family for sponsoring and presenting the perpetual cup and shield. Congratulations to Western Gaels who were the winners of the cup and Easkey who were winners of the shield and to all the teams that took part. Thanks to all the parents for refreshments and young senior hurlers who officiated.

From all here at Easkey GAA, we would like to thank JP McManus for his kind donation to our club. It will benefit all the youth of the parish and hopefully will drive interest in all sports that Easkey GAA are involved in.
Connacht Gaa Bursary Scheme 2018/2019
Connacht GAA have again reiterated their commitment to the ongoing educational development of its players and members by announcing details of the 2018/2019 GAA National Student Bursary scheme. Connacht GAA, in support of the National Student Bursary Scheme, will award bursaries of €750 to students attending Higher Education colleges. Please visit Sligo GAA website for more details.
Commiserations to the Easkey / St Farnans u14s who were beaten by Calry/ St Josephs in the B Championship Cup final down in Scarden last Sunday on a scoreline of 2-6 to 3-10.
