Senior Football

Our senior lads will be disappointed after a 0-11 to 1-10 loss against Castleconnor last weekend in our final round of the Intermediate Championship group stage. Numerous wides and missed goal opportunities will have frustrated the lads but they have plenty to learn from as they prepare for a quarter final in mid-September. We now await the conclusion of the group stages on the weekend of 7/8th September to find out who our quarter final opponents will be.

Senior Hurling
Our senior hurlers lost out to Calry/St Josephs on a a scoreline of1-12 to 2-14 in Easkey pitch last weekend in round 4 of the Senior Hurling Championship. They are down to play Naomh Eoin this Saturday evening at 6.30pm in Kent Park in round 5 of the Senior Hurling Championship. Please support.

Paudie Butler visit
Former Tipperary senior coach Paudie Butler will visit our club this Wednesday 28th August to give some tips to our young hurlers and coaches.

Minor Hurling
Our Easkey/St Farnans minors take on Tourlestrane this Thursday the 29th in round 4 of the Minor Hurling Championship - 7pm in Easkey

U16 Football
Our Easkey/St Farnans will play Geevagh next Monday 2nd September in round 5 of the u16 B championship.

U14 Football
Our Easkey/St Farnans u14 footballers play St Marys this Tuesday 27th August in the u14 A Championship in St Farnans pitch at 6pm.

Rounders
Last weekend a team of 14 girls travelled to the u15 GAA All Ireland Rounders Feile in Limerick. They played Breaffy in their first match and narrowly lost out with a score line of 10-8. The girls then went on to play The Heath which was very tight throughout the match but it ended 19-13 to the Heath. The last game of the day for the girls was against Ballybrown the girls had a super match with star catches from Sarah Feeney, Aisling McGuire, Niamh Lang and Elisha Cuffe but were unlucky to lose out to the limerick team Ballybrown 5-12. This young team demonstrated great skill and will undoubtedly be back again next year. Thanks to Miriam Feeney who coached the girls.

Beginner Blues
Beginner blues training on Saturdays 10-11 same time as u8 football, contact Noel McGuire for further info.All boys and girls aged 4-6 are welcome.

Underage Hurling
Underage Hurling training continues during the week as follows.
Saturday
U12s and u14s 10am to 11am 
U8s and u10 are from 11 am to 12pm 
Wednesday
U8 and u10s 6 – 7pm
U12 and u14s 7 - 8pm
*(for this week only - Paudie Butler of Tipperary hurling, will coach the u8/10s from 5.30 to 6.30 and u12/14s from 6.30 to 7.30)
